Getting in touch with my inner Klingon...

I'm in total Star Trek fangirl mode here at DragonCon. When I wasn't at our dealer booth yesterday talking to readers, I was stalking Star Trek stars :-)

Saw Spock, Kirk, Picard, Janeway, Malcolm McDowell (the evil genius who killed Kirk!) - also secondary characters Harry Kim and Reg Barclay...

But the most fun was the Miss Klingon Empire Beauty Pageant - and running into Miss Klingon Empire 2009 later on the street...

Strange that I should read your blurb while watching the Star Trek marathon, I've been watching off and on all day

You all had way too much fun in Atlanta, mysterious orbs and all. Like your dress. Would like to have seen the other contestants for Miss Klingon Empire Beauty 2009. Did they have to be able to speak Klingon?

One of the contestants sang a couple of Klingon battle songs in Klingon - I remember Worf signing them from TNG tv series. I was wishing for words and a bouncing ball somewhere above the stage so I could sing along!

Mostly the contestants displayed their Klingon attitude in English. One woman was just too petite, blonde and cute, with a sweet southern accent to boot! She didn't make the final cut :-) The woman who won was far and away the best, I thought
